Such an inspiration. I don’t do karate myself (unfortunately) but my 6 year old son has been doing it for a year now – I hope one day he has even a fraction of the spirit, dedication and sense of self that just oozed from Pauline. Such a priviledged discipline should be the right of every child- if only it could compete with the effortless mindset of lazing in front of a tv or computer game the world would be a better, brighter place.

  3. sorry about the loss pauline to all that know her . I seen the film and it was very moving a big loss to the martial arts

  8. Dear Lee & family
I have just returned from abroad & so very sad to hear of your loss. Yes, Pauline was a pioneer & pathed the way for us ladies in Karate. Remarkable, video coverage & a reminder of the true spirit of karate-do. On behalf of myself, family & students we pass on our sincere condolences. May she rest in peace & her courage stay with you all.
